Cancellation policy
Effective date: 25 September 2026
Some books in our shop are sold as pre-orders, including crowdfunded pre-orders, instead of as standard orders. This policy explains when you are charged and how to cancel. We do not currently sell subscriptions.
Pre-orders
- Payment is taken in full when you place your pre-order.
- Release dates are our best estimate and can move. If a release date changes significantly, we will let you know by email.
- You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before it is dispatched or, for digital titles, before the download link is sent.
- Digital pre-orders are delivered on release day. Printed pre-orders are sent to print on or shortly after release day, and normal printing and shipping times then apply.
Crowdfunded pre-orders
Crowdfunded pre-orders work differently from standard pre-orders. Our crowdfunding campaigns are all-or-nothing.
- Each campaign page shows the funding goal and the end date.
- Your payment details are saved at checkout, but you are only charged if the campaign reaches its goal. If it does not, you will not be charged and your order will be cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time before the campaign reaches its goal, at no cost.
- Once the campaign has reached its goal and you have been charged, your order is final. Every backer's pledge counts towards the funding needed to produce the book, so we cannot accept cancellations after that point.
- If for any reason we are unable to deliver a funded campaign, you will receive a full refund.
Signed and personalised items
Signed and personalised items are made specially for you. They cannot be cancelled once personalisation has begun, except where the item is faulty or not as described.
How to cancel
Email tamaragillauthor@gmail.com with your order number. We will confirm your cancellation by email, and any refund will go back to your original payment method.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law of your own country. The statutory right of withdrawal for customers in the European Union is set out in our refund policy.
