Digital Goods: Ebooks and Audiobooks

Refunds do not apply to digital goods: ebooks and audiobooks. These are instant downloads.

For audiobooks, there is a Soundcloud sample. Listen to it first to see if you like it.

Please choose carefully. Refunds are only given if you buy a duplicate item within 48 hours of first purchase, in which case the duplicate item will be refunded.

If a file fails to download, arrives corrupted, or is the wrong title, contact us at tamaragillauthor@gmail.com and we will sort it out.

Physical Goods

All sales are final. We do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect product selection, or general dissatisfaction.

We take great pride in the quality of our books and hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your book arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect or is damaged in transit, contact us within 14 days of delivery at tamaragillauthor@gmail.com.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The name and email address on the order
  • Clear photos of the shipping satchel or box, and of the damage itself

Claims are assessed individually. Where a claim is accepted, we will arrange a replacement or a refund.

What is not considered a defect

Our paperbacks and special editions are printed to order. Small variations between copies are normal and are not eligible for a claim:

  • Dented or crushed corners smaller than 1.5cm
  • Tears, scuffs, marks or scratches smaller than 1cm
  • Minor page bends or rippling that does not affect readability
  • Light residue, smudging or scratching on covers, or on sprayed and stencilled edges
  • Creasing or folding at the top or bottom of the spine
  • Slight variation in colour, foil finish or print alignment between copies
  • Overstock and clearance copies, which may have minor shelf wear, foil inconsistencies, spine dents or stray marks

Shipping and Missing Parcels

  • Claims for missing parcels must be made within 30 days of the shipping date.
  • Where tracking shows a parcel as delivered, the order is treated as fulfilled.
  • Orders placed with an incorrect or incomplete shipping address are not eligible for replacement or refund. Please check your address carefully before completing checkout.

For European Union Customers Only: Statutory Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive), as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2673, and as transposed into the national law of your country of residence, consumers residing in the European Union have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for physical goods (paperback books) within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason.

How to withdraw

You may exercise this right in either of the following ways:

Shipping condition

The buyer is responsible for organising and paying all direct costs associated with shipping the physical book back to our designated return address below.

Refunds

We will refund the purchase price together with the standard (least expensive) outbound delivery cost you paid. Where you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard rate only.

We will issue your refund without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold the refund until we have either received the returned book or you have supplied evidence that you have sent it back, whichever occurs first.

Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, at no cost to you.

You are responsible for any diminished value of the book resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.

This right of withdrawal does not apply to our digital products (ebooks and audiobooks), as immediate delivery consent is gathered at checkout and these items are marked as Final Sale.

Acceptance and Misuse

Completing your order confirms that you accept these terms.

Repeated or excessive claims, or use of this policy for resale or profit, may result in future claims being declined.
